The Responsible Fishing Program (PPR), as an initiative of the FIP for small pelagics (Small Pelagics Sustainability) aimed at developing capacities for the small pelagic fleet, aims to manage and minimize impacts on the Ecuadorian marine ecosystem, from a training and capacity building plan for continuous monitoring of fishing activity and the marine ecosystem, generating industry-specific data for sustainable fishing management and future certifications.”
